I’m leaving LA in 3 weeks. It wasn’t planned, it’s bittersweet, and it’s terrifying—but it’s also the first step toward living a life that truly reflects who I am.
Hey y’all,
Happy Wednesday. As you may have guessed from the title… I’m moving out of LA. In 3 weeks. September 17th.
I wasn’t sure if I’d announce this today, but after a few tears this morning as it sunk in, it felt right to share.
This all came together last minute—only decided on Friday. The timing is earlier than I expected; I had imagined leaving later in the year, maybe October or the holidays, traveling or spending time elsewhere. But my parents can only help me move in mid-September before they head to Baja, and honestly, I’m grateful for that. So I’ll be heading back home to NorCal for a bit—to reset, recharge, and spend time with family.
At first, I considered just subleasing. But I know this is the right step. By 2026, I see myself living fluidly—several months abroad each year, the rest of the time in NYC or LA, wherever feels aligned. Instead of long-term leases, I’ll likely embrace shorter-term rentals, moving with the flow of what’s next. This is part of designing a life that truly reflects who I am.
Writing this makes it real. Moves always bring feelings. I’ve been in LA for 10 years—since UCLA in 2015. This city has been my home, my heart, my backdrop of adulthood. 🥺 But for now, it feels right to let go and make space for what’s next. Sometimes, you have to leave something you love to create room for what’s calling you.
And that’s the thing: leaving isn’t just about changing a location—it’s about choosing a life that aligns with who you are. It’s about rejecting the societal expectation that we must follow a path that doesn’t feel right, and instead giving ourselves permission to live authentically, creatively, and fully.
Community Corner
I’ve also been feeling so much gratitude for the cohort. Yesterday, I ran a make-up session for those who missed Sunday, and on my midday walk, I jotted down notes in my phone. I kept thinking about the incredible talents in this group, and how rare it is to be around driven, heart-centered people creating projects that truly matter.
It’s one thing to chase your own dreams, but to be in a room where everyone shares their goals, hopes, and power to make them real? That’s magic. Witnessing breakthroughs live—it’s electric, humbling, and inspiring.
I also realized how much I love problem-solving. Seeing where someone’s stuck and helping them find a way forward—it’s fascinating. It reminded me of when I toured UCLA for majors and considered psychology. Or that dinner party I hosted in Sweden, where we shared our dreams and limiting beliefs, helping each other break them down. Often, it’s our own narrative holding us back. A new perspective or outside insight can open a world of clarity. Experiencing that in real time? Pure magic.
It’s these moments that remind me why I created the Global Dream Team: to help people reconnect with their truth, see their potential, and step boldly into it.
Events
My last official LA event this September is next Friday, September 5th at Moss in Venice. Dinner/Spanish tapas from Manchego, and an evening to share our stories. Open mic, open heart. This is a space for storytellers, creators, filmmakers, writers, and all creative minds to explore moments that have shaped them. Connect, be inspired, and leave reawakened.

I’m also thinking of a casual coffee or picnic hang at one of my favorite LA spots before I leave—likely the week of September 8, maybe September 11–13, TBD.
Reflections on Change
Change is a mix of excitement and uncertainty. As I get ready to leave LA, I’m reminded that growth often happens when we step out of what’s familiar and make space for what’s next. I’ve realized that waiting for the “perfect plan” isn’t necessary—you can create freedom, creativity, and opportunities right now by choosing your own path.
By stepping out of what felt safe and familiar, I’m designing a life aligned with my highest potential: more travel, more creativity, more authentic connection, and more freedom. This is exactly what I want to model for the dreamers and doers in this community: that you don’t have to follow a path that doesn’t feel aligned. You can shift course at any moment and build a life that truly reflects who you are.
This week, notice one area of your life where you can embrace more fluidity—work, relationships, or personal growth. Sometimes the smallest step forward opens the door to the biggest breakthroughs.
I’m so grateful for everything LA and this community have given me—the friendships, the lessons, the inspiration, and the countless memories that have shaped me. I’ll be back, and I can’t wait to return with fresh energy, new perspectives, and even more to share. ❤️
Thanks for reading all the way through—you’re a real one. And if you want to hang before I go, hmu.
With love,
