😮💨 This year has been A LOT.
Building this membership and community has stretched me more than anything I’ve done before — solving problems daily, juggling a million moving parts, and using my brain 10x more than when I was just creating content.
At first, I loved it. I’m scrappy, I like building, and I’ve always considered myself pretty smart.
But then… my brain just started hurting.
Startup mode — build, pivot, fix, repeat — it wore me down.
I’ve probably spent close to 2,000 hours building this thing. I paused everything else — YouTube, Vegan Yzzy, even my client work.
And for the first time in 5 years…
I almost quit.
Can’t believe I’m sharing this, but on July 24th I literally texted my friend:
Okay, not really — but it was one of those moments.
I realized I was spending more time solving other people’s problems than sharing my own message, stories, and creativity - the things that actually brought me here in the first place. Through travel. Through human connection. Through purpose.
It felt like I was drifting away from the aliveness that fuels me.
So I stepped back.
Went to Big Bear. Got still. Reassessed everything.
And I realized — I don’t need to quit.
I just need to realign.
Running tons of open events was great for momentum. But now, I’m ready to go deeper — to build with the people who are all in.
That was always the vision.
The spaces and communities that changed my life were the ones where everyone showed up equally invested.
So moving forward, my energy is going into GDT members — the dreamers, doers, and creatives ready to stop overthinking and start building.
That’s where the magic lives.
And perfect timing: today I spoke with a PR agency about press for GDT 👀
We’re talking real visibility — features that tell the story behind this movement.
It felt like confirmation. After a crazy season, things are aligning again.
From October to December, my goal is also to be back out in the world — filming, creating, and reconnecting with the joy that started all of this. GDT members will even have the chance to travel with me. ✈️
