A Sunday Letter from Ysabel

Something about this season feels different — like it’s calling for focus.
While most people are slowing down, easing off, waiting for the new year to start… there’s a quiet fire in those who know what they’re creating next.
This isn’t the time to retreat; it’s the time to refine.
To get clear, to plan, to lay the groundwork so that when January arrives, you’re not starting from scratch — you’re already in motion.
I felt this especially in a recent conversation with someone who asked how I was approaching November and December. I told her this season feels crucial — a time to prepare so that by the new year, the vision is already taking shape. She asked if I resonated with the term high performer. I paused — I usually resonate more with high achiever — but the truth is, it’s less about the label and more about the mindset: knowing that this window of time matters.
That energy showed up this week at a gathering I hosted in San Francisco, and what struck me most was people showing up for themselves — each presence a small but powerful act of self-investment.
